Easter Family Fair
Fun for all the family this Easter Sunday

Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street
Sunday 23rd April, 12 noon – 4pm
Admission Free

Riverside will be open to the general public on Sunday 23rd April. Doors open at 12 noon and admission is free. So why not make it a day out and bring the whole family down to join in the many activities.

Visitors will be officially welcomed to Riverside at 12.45pm by Chairman Bill Migley. The Chairman will introduce new Captain Nick Speak who in turn will introduce the new overseas player, Simon Katich.

Following the brief welcome to Riverside the first masterclass will begin in the net area of the ground. Geoff Cook, Norman Gifford and Alan Walker will host three separate classes on specific aspects of batting and bowling.

Those attending the Easter Family Fair will be given two for one vouchers which can be redeemed the next day for the Benson and Hedges cup match against Derbyshire.

Activities include:

  • Barbeque
  • Chester the Lion
  • The longest Dragon in England
  • Cricket masterclass
  • Meet the players and get their autographs
  • Face painting
  • Test your batting, bowling and fielding skills
  • Tour of the ground and pavilion
  • Tombola
  • Competitions
  • Fancy goods, crafts and other stalls
