A quintessential evening of British tradition

International opera stars Graeme Danby, Valerie Reid and Bethany Halliday, supported by The Chester-le-Street Riverside Band, with special guest conductor Major Peter Parkes.

Enjoy the 'Last night of the Proms' experience at Durham County Cricket Club this August. Bring your Union Jack, picnic rugs, tables, chairs, candlebras and sing along to patriotic pieces with international opera stars at this fun outdoor party. The evening will have a northern theme and concludes with a very British ending that features the much loved classics Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britannia, Jerusalem and God Save the Queen.

Itinerary:

6.00pm-6.45pm The Lemington Male Voice Choir
6.45pm-7.45pm Redemption Jazz Quintent
7.45pm-8.45pm A Proms Celebration of the North East
8.45pm-9.15pm Interval
9.15pm-10.30pm Last Night of the Proms
10.30pm Firework Finale

The evening will begin at 6pm with the Lemington Male Voice Choir, followed by a jazz quintet and A Proms Celebration of the North East. The evening will end with The Last Night at the Proms and a spectacular firework finale at 10.30pm.
