in Darlington will host Durham's County Championship game against Derbyshire next
Darlington club has stepped in while the Riverside at Chester-le-Street recovers
from the big NatWest Series one day floodlit England v India international on
Thursday July 4th. The Darlington four-day game will begin almost one week later
on July 10th - but the media facilities and 12,500 temporary seats will still
be in the process of being dismantled at the Riverside.
international gives the Club a great opportunity to return to one of the many
outgrounds that has served the Club well over the years.
Harker, Durham's Chief Executive says "We are delighted that Darlington has
been able to provide an alternative for us while we host the international. Feethams
has always been a happy hunting ground and we have a great record there."
fact, Durham's last game at Feethams was in 2000 when Derbyshire were once again
the opposition. Durham recorded a double over them in both the County Championship
and the one-day Norwich Union game.
