Darlington Host Derbyshire Game

Feethams in Darlington will host Durham's County Championship game against Derbyshire next season.

The Darlington club has stepped in while the Riverside at Chester-le-Street recovers from the big NatWest Series one day floodlit England v India international on Thursday July 4th. The Darlington four-day game will begin almost one week later on July 10th - but the media facilities and 12,500 temporary seats will still be in the process of being dismantled at the Riverside.

The international gives the Club a great opportunity to return to one of the many outgrounds that has served the Club well over the years.

David Harker, Durham's Chief Executive says "We are delighted that Darlington has been able to provide an alternative for us while we host the international. Feethams has always been a happy hunting ground and we have a great record there."

In fact, Durham's last game at Feethams was in 2000 when Derbyshire were once again the opposition. Durham recorded a double over them in both the County Championship and the one-day Norwich Union game.
