England Under 19 team for First Test Match versus India Under 19

The ECB today announced the 12 players who will represent England Under 19 in the First Test Match against India Under 19 at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff, on 27-30 July 2002.

Paul McMahon, the Nottinghamshire off-spinner, will captain the side for the first time. Graham Wagg, an all-rounder who made his First Class debut for Warwickshire earlier this season, is the only player who has not previously represented England at Under 19 level.

The Indian U19 team arrives in the UK on 15 July to embark on a three-match Test Series followed by a three-match One-Day Series. The team will be coached by Robin Singh, who represented India in one Test Match and 136 One-Day Internationals in his playing career.
