Innings for Investors
County Cricket Club and local firm Rutherford Financial Management
have announced a unique three-year partnership link up which will
benefit young players at the ECB & Durham Cricket Academy.
link up will offer club members the chance to receive specialist
advice on a range of financial products and services provided by
the company, which in turn will donate a proportion of the fees
generated from sales back into the Academy funds. Club members who
take up any of Rutherford's products or services will also be featured
as Friends of the Academy.
Financial Management is a respected name among the region's financial
services companies, with a particular specialism in taxation and
trust matters. To mark the start of the partnership the company
has launched a special product for club members. The Guaranteed
Growth Bond is a five-year investment which offers a guaranteed
20% return, on top of the original investment, with the potential
to rise to a 65% return. The offer is available until the end of
July, and is limited to members only.
chief executive Peter Rutherford said: "We are delighted to
show our support through practical assistance which will help talented
young players in the academy develop into the stars of the future.
The deal will also benefit the individual members by giving them
access to professional financial advice, plus a range of special
offers tailored to their needs."
County Cricket Club spokesman, Gordon Hollins, is equally pleased
with the deal: "Rutherford Financial Services has a first class
reputation for sound financial advice, and I am confident that many
of our members will take advantage of the deal. At the same time
the arrangement gives our young players a boost through the cash
the arrangement will generate."
