June 2003 Durham CCC will host its inaugural Test Match between
England and Zimbabwe at the Riverside ground, Chester-le-Street
and will become the first ground in over 100 years to be appointed
as a new Test Venue.
with this Test opportunity comes the increased pressure from the
ECB and other Test Venues, for Durham to demonstrate that there
is corporate support for cricket in the North East. To help demonstrate
this support a first issue of 500 Test Founder Bonds have been printed.
Companies and individuals can pledge their support to Durham CCC
as an international venue by buying one or more Test Founder Bonds.
Bond costs £100 and comes with a number of benefits including
entry into the draw to win a VIP table for four on the first day
of the inaugural Test match.
